Ballet Costume Design, Manchester Cathedral

This ballet costume was designed for an exhibition launch at Manchester Cathedral, honouring Portugal's national day and celebrating the friendship between Duarte Bué Alves, the Consul General of Portugal in Manchester, and Manchester Metropolitan University.

The corset features mesh and boning, adorned with handcrafted crepe paper flowers, while the headpiece is crafted from wire and crepe paper leaves. The costume aims to capture the beauty of  Portuguese flora and fauna while bringing to life a dance performance inspired by a Portuguese water-nymph.
